Strateva Changes Name to Alignent Software
New name reflects commitment to providing software for enterprise strategic product planning and aligning technology with other institutional priorities
November 8, 2004 — Strateva, a leading software firm specializing in enterprise strategic product planning software, today announced that the company has changed its name to Alignent Software. The new name (pronounced a-line-ant) was selected to better reflect the companys mission to deliver innovative software solutions that automate the product innovation process and increase alignment throughout the enterprise. The company's signature solution, Vision Strategist, achieves those goals by aligning technology with other institutional priorities, as well as aligning the collective efforts of a companys diverse stakeholders.
"Changing our name to Alignent Software indicates our firm commitment to providing enterprise organizations with the software tools necessary to align emerging technology with new markets and products," says Dennis Clerke, CEO. "Dozens of Fortune 500 companies have already seen the benefits of our signature application, Vision Strategist, through increased revenues from new technologies, faster time to market and shorter break-even time."
Carl Dietz, Chief Strategy Officer, notes "Since our founding in 1999, the company has made incredible strides in the enterprise strategic product planning arena. Our new name, Alignent Software, capitalizes on our past successes and poises the company to become the premier supplier of strategic product planning software for enterprise organizations."
The company's continued growth is evident on many levels. In the past six months, the company has:
• Expanded its executive team with the appointment of Dennis Clerke as CEO. Clerke joined Alignent Software co-founder and former CEO, Carl Dietz, who continues to play an active executive role as Chief Strategy Officer and member of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Alignent, Clerke was President and CEO of Cardiff Software, which was acquired earlier this year by Verity, Inc.
• Expanded the scope of its sales force, most notably with the appointment of Warren Goldberg, Vice President of Sales, and Max Hill, Director of Strategic Accounts. Prior to joining Alignent, Goldberg and Hill held executive sales positions at Agile Software Corporation and Oracle, respectively.
• Increased its client base with notable additions, including Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, HP Network and Service Provider Services, United States Special Operations Command, Medtronic Microelectronics Center, NASA Aeronautics Research Mission, Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory, Freescale Semiconductor and more.
• Expanded its offerings with an array of new services and products, including the Strategic Planning Assessment (SPA), and Power Grid, a powerful add-on module that allows Vision Strategist users to give roadmap data wider exposure.
The new name, which goes into effect immediately, is accompanied by a redesigned logo and updated Website.
